The average military-connected student moves six to nine times during their
K-12 years. Students faced with frequent moves must constantly integrate
into a new educational system, new community, and find new friends.
The MCEC Student 2 Student® (S2S™) program is a student led organization
that welcomes incoming students to their school and helps departing
students prepare for their next school. S2S eases transitions and creates a
positive environment.
A group of 12 student ambassadors make up the Junior Student 2 Student program at Knob Noster Middle School. These students are called upon to welcome and give tours to new students, as well as maintain close contact throughout the year to ensure a smooth transition into his/her new school. The first Friday of every month, new students and KNMS JS2S student ambassadors meet for lunch to discuss friendships, involvement in activities, answer questions, and simply to do a "check in".
