The Missouri School Counselor Association (MSCA) is pleased to announce that Knob Noster Middle School is one of four schools in Missouri who have earned recognition as a Dr. Norman C. Gysbers Nationally Recognized Missouri Program (NRM) in 2024. The Knob Noster Middle School Counselors are Heather Wallace and Taylor Morrison.
The Dr. Norman C. Gysbers Nationally Recognized Missouri Program (NRM), pronounced “The Norm”, is the national recognition award that Missouri school counseling programs may earn. Achieving this award not only garners state recognition but also national recognition as a RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) Award through the American School Counselor Association. The award is for individual schools whose school counseling programs have reached a level of implementation that emphasizes the positive impact of the school counseling program on student success and the school community.
These recipients, along with the other award winners, will be recognized at the upcoming MSCA Fall Conference during a special professional recognition event held at the Tan-Tar-A Conference Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. The Annual Conference attracts more than 1,200 school counselors from across the state.
